The fBC dewatering wheels are used to retake and dewater sand, gravel or other fine material from the screen with washing. This unit is constructed in a structure on skids and is equipped with a vibrating screen with water pipe and sprinkler nozzles. The dewatering wheels receive the passing fraction mixed with water. The large surface area of the tank coupled with the deflecting plates enhances productivity by restricting turbulence and performing decantation.
All dewatering wheels feature low power consumption per cubic meter processed, in addition to separate materials with efficiency of up to 100 microns. The slurry of sand and water is inserted into the steel tank, where it is decanted by gravity. The wheel buckets dig the material accumulated on the tank floor. This shaking action causes "turbulence" of the material, running the final washing and promoting the release of waste, clay and organic matter and allowing the settlement of fines.
The wheel dewaters the material through the numerous holes in the screen during the first half of the revolution, then discharging the dewatered material innto the outlet nozzle. The overflowing water containing waste, clay and organic material is conducted to the spout, always placed on the opposite side to the feeding.
